How Our Warranty Works

These statutory rights exist alongside our limited warranty, never instead of it. Whichever gives you more protection is the one that applies.

1. What's Covered

Our limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, for the warranty period that applies in your region (see Section 5). If your Rune 1 fails because of how it was made, we'll put it right.

Covered

• Manufacturing defects — faults in materials or workmanship that appear under normal use
• Sensor malfunctions — heart rate, HRV, SpO2, or temperature sensors not working as designed
• Charging failures — the ring not charging correctly with the included charging case and cable
• Firmware faults that disable the hardware — software issues that stop the ring functioning normally
• Battery degradation — if usable capacity falls below 80% within the warranty period under normal use

Not Covered

• Accidental or physical damage — drops, crushing, cracks, or impact damage
• Water damage beyond the rated level — exposure past the Rune 1's 5ATM (50m) water resistance rating
• Normal wear and cosmetic marks — surface scratches and finish wear from everyday use
• Battery wear past the warranty period — gradual capacity loss outside the covered window
• Unauthorized repair or tampering — damage caused by non-approved repairs or modifications
• Lost or stolen rings — and third-party accessories not supplied by Pulsyn

The exclusions above describe our commercial warranty. They never limit the non-waivable statutory rights described in Section 5 — for example, the EU 2-year legal guarantee of conformity still applies regardless of this list.

How to Make a Claim (RMA)

   Email support@pulsyn.tech with your order number and a description of the issue (photos or a short video help).

   Diagnosis

   We'll respond within 2 business days, help troubleshoot, and confirm whether it's a warranty claim.

   Prepaid return

   If a return is needed, we send a prepaid shipping label. Warranty return shipping is always free.

   Repair or replace

   We repair or replace the unit. A replacement carries the remainder of your original warranty or 90 days, whichever is longer.

Refund Timeline

Where a claim or return results in a refund, we issue it to your original payment method within 5–10 business days of approving it. Payments are processed through Stripe; we never store your full card number.

2. Returns

After your Rune 1 is delivered, you have 30 days from delivery to return it for any reason. This is our standard global policy, and it sits on top of any longer or stronger statutory return right you may have (see Section 5).

Condition of a Worn Ring

The Rune 1 is worn on the body, so we keep our condition requirements simple and fair:

• Everything in the box — return the ring, charging case, and USB-C cable
• Normal try-on wear is fine — light, expected wear from wearing the ring does not affect your refund
• No deliberate damage — please don't intentionally damage the device
• Factory reset first — clear your data before returning (your health data is stored on-device, so this protects your privacy; see our Privacy Policy for how we handle any data shared during an RMA)

Pre-Order Cancellations

The Rune 1 is currently on pre-order (estimated to ship Q3 2026). You can cancel your pre-order at any time before it ships for a full refund, no reason needed — just email support@pulsyn.tech with your order number. The 30-day return window above starts from delivery, not from when you ordered.

5. Region-Specific Warranty & Return Rights

5.1 — United States

Pulsyn provides a Limited Warranty on the Rune 1 of one (1) year from the date of delivery, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, as described in Section 1. This is a "Limited Warranty" for the purposes of the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.

• To the extent permitted by law, any implied warranties (such as merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose) are limited in duration to the one-year term of this written Limited Warranty.
• Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the limitations above may not apply to you.
• This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
• Several US states (including Washington, Nevada, Connecticut, Colorado, and Virginia) provide additional health-data and consumer rights, which we honor where they apply.

5.2 — European Union & EEA

If you are a consumer resident in the EU or wider EEA, the Rune 1 comes with a 2-year legal guarantee of conformity under Directive (EU) 2019/771. This is your non-waivable statutory minimum right — it cannot be reduced or removed.

• Any commercial warranty Pulsyn offers is additional to, and never a replacement for, this statutory guarantee, and cannot reduce your statutory rights.
• The seller is liable for goods that do not conform during the guarantee period, not only the manufacturer.
• Your remedies follow the Directive's tiers: repair or replacement first, then a price reduction or rescission of the contract where appropriate.
• 14-day right of withdrawal: for distance (online) purchases you may withdraw within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason, under the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU). Our voluntary 30-day return window sits on top of this.

5.3 — United Kingdom

If you are a consumer resident in the UK, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you rights that cannot be excluded. The Rune 1 must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described.

• 30-day short-term right to reject: if the ring is faulty, you can reject it for a full refund within 30 days of delivery.
• Tiered remedies after 30 days: you are entitled to a repair or replacement, and to a price reduction or final right to reject if a fault remains.
• 14-day cancellation: under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have 14 days from delivery to cancel an online purchase. Our 30-day return window extends beyond this minimum.

5.4 — Australia & Canada

Australia: our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. For a minor failure, we may choose to repair the product. Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies those non-excludable guarantees.

Canada: your warranty is the 1-year Pulsyn Limited Warranty, and where provincial consumer-protection legislation applies, your statutory rights take precedence over any conflicting term in this policy, and we honor them.
