Pairing your ring
How to pair Rune 1 with the Pulsyn app over Bluetooth 5.2 BLE for the first time.
Last updated: July 13, 2026
Rune 1 connects to your phone over Bluetooth 5.2 BLE. The first pairing happens during onboarding and usually takes under a minute.
Before you start
- Make sure your phone is running iOS 13+ or Android 8.0+.
- Install the Pulsyn app and allow the requested Bluetooth and location permissions when prompted. Android asks for location permission to enable BLE scanning. The app does not use it to track your location.
- Charge the ring in the magnetic case for at least a few minutes if it arrived with low battery.
Pairing steps
- Open the Pulsyn app and begin onboarding.
- When you reach the Ring Scan screen, the app starts scanning for nearby Rune 1 rings.
- Place the ring on your finger or keep it near the phone.
- Tap your ring when it appears in the scan list.
- The app pairs automatically. You will see a Pairing Success screen once the connection is confirmed.
If pairing fails
- Move away from other Bluetooth devices if the list is crowded.
- Confirm the ring is charged: place it in the case and check for the charging indicator.
- Toggle your phone's Bluetooth off and on, then retry.
- Force-close the app and reopen it.
If the ring still does not appear, see Connectivity troubleshooting or contact support. For basic compatibility and water-resistance questions, see the FAQ.
