Daily coaching feed

How North's coaching feed works and what each tag means.

Last updated: July 13, 2026

The coaching feed is North's way of keeping you informed before you ask. It appears in the North tab of the Pulsyn app as a chronological list of bite-sized entries.

Each entry has a tag that tells you what kind of moment it is. Here is what the tags mean:

TagMeaning
INSIGHTA pattern or observation worth knowing. Often a highlight or a useful detail about your metrics.
NORTH COACHA direct recommendation, such as a peak focus window or a caffeine cutoff.
ANOMALYSomething unusual compared with your baseline, such as a shift in your resting heart rate or body temperature. North is flagging it for attention, not diagnosing it.
RESOLVEDA previously flagged anomaly has returned to normal, or a concern has cleared.
REMINDERA gentle nudge based on your goals or recent patterns, such as a hydration cue or wind-down prompt.
TRENDA direction your data is moving over several days, usually framed as context.
COACHINGA broader lifestyle or recovery suggestion, often tied to long-term goals or upcoming events.

How entries appear

North creates feed entries from your latest ring data. Some show up every morning: a sleep-quality summary, a readiness snapshot, a recommended focus window. Others appear only when North detects a meaningful change, like a deviation from baseline or a recovery milestone.

Entries are not alerts. They are designed to be skimmable. Tap one to open a short explanation or jump into a chat with North about it.

Proactive starters

On the Pro cloud tier, North can also surface proactive starters: suggested questions or topics based on your current data. These appear above the chat input and give you a one-tap way to go deeper, such as "Why is my HRV lower than usual?" or "Plan my caffeine today."

Keeping the feed useful

North learns which entries you engage with. If you often expand TREND cards, you will see more trend summaries. If you ignore a certain reminder type, it scales back. You can also give feedback on individual entries to tune the feed over time.

The feed is informational. It helps you notice patterns and decide where to focus, but it is not a medical alert system. If something feels seriously off, talk to a healthcare provider.
