North's memory

North is more useful when it knows what matters to you. Over time it builds a memory of your goals, preferences, patterns, and the things you have asked about. That memory lives on your phone for on-device conversations and is governed by your Pro cloud settings if you use the cloud tier.

What North remembers

Memories are short facts North uses to personalize its guidance. Examples:

• "You prefer morning workouts."
• "Deep sleep drops after late caffeine."
• "You are training for a half marathon in October."
• "You asked about HRV last Tuesday."

North uses these memories to improve relevance. It can weight recently-accessed memories more heavily when answering, so guidance stays current without losing long-term context.

Memory limits

The on-device tier can recall up to 5 memories in a single response. The Pro cloud tier raises that to 60 memories. See On-device vs Pro cloud for the full comparison.

Memory browser

The memory browser is a mobile-app screen where you can see everything North currently remembers about you. Each memory is shown as a short statement with a date and a source cue, such as a chat or a coaching feed entry.

From the browser you can:

• View all active memories.
• Forget a memory you do not want North to use again.
• Remember something manually, such as a goal or a constraint you want North to keep in mind.
• See recently-accessed memories, which North used in its latest responses.

Forgetting a memory removes it from North's active context. It does not delete the underlying ring data or chat history from your phone unless you separately clear those.

How to manage memory

1. Open the North tab in the Pulsyn app.
2. Tap the memory icon or settings gear.
3. Browse the list. Tap a memory to read the full entry.
4. Choose Forget to remove it, or Remember to add a new one.

Privacy note

On-device memories stay on your phone. Cloud-tier memories are stored in Pulsyn's encrypted EU cloud and are tied to your account. You can review and delete them at any time. For the full privacy model, see the Data & Privacy section and our Privacy Policy.
