Notifications not working

How to fix Pulsyn app notifications on iOS and Android.

Last updated: July 13, 2026

If you are not receiving Pulsyn alerts, reminders, or coaching notifications, the cause is usually a phone-level permission or battery setting. Check each item below.

1. Notification permission is on

On iOS, go to Settings > Notifications > Pulsyn and make sure notifications are allowed.

On Android, go to Settings > Apps > Pulsyn > Notifications and enable the relevant channels.

2. Do Not Disturb is off

If Do Not Disturb, Focus mode, or Bedtime mode is active, notifications may be silenced. Check your phone's status bar or quick settings.

3. The app can run in the background

Android phones in particular may put Pulsyn to sleep to save battery. Add Pulsyn to your battery optimization exception list:

  • Settings > Apps > Pulsyn > Battery > Unrestricted (path varies by manufacturer)

If the system closes the app, background alerts arrive late or not at all.

4. Notification types are enabled in the app

Open Pulsyn and go to Settings > Notifications. Make sure the toggles for alerts, coaching, reminders, and weekly summaries are turned on.

5. Your ring is connected

Some notifications rely on fresh data from the ring. If the ring has not synced recently, an alert may be delayed. Open the app and confirm the ring is connected.

6. Reinstall as a last resort

If permissions and battery settings look correct and notifications still do not arrive, try reinstalling the app. Sign in again and re-enable notifications when prompted.
