Ring not syncing
App-side causes and quick fixes when Rune 1 will not sync, plus a link to Bluetooth-specific troubleshooting.
Last updated: July 13, 2026
If your Rune 1 is not syncing data to the Pulsyn app, start with the app-side checks below. For Bluetooth-specific steps (permissions, battery settings, pairing reset, and connection instability), see the dedicated Troubleshooting sync issues article in the Firmware & Connectivity category.
App-side quick checks
- Open the Pulsyn app. Some phones delay background sync. Opening the app usually triggers it immediately.
- Pull down to refresh. On the main dashboard, pull down to request a manual sync.
- Check the ring tile. Look for a "connecting" or "syncing" indicator. If it says the ring is not found, the issue is likely Bluetooth-level and should be handled in the firmware-connectivity article above.
- Make sure you are signed in. If you were signed out, the app may not be trying to sync at all.
Data waiting on the ring
The ring stores recent data locally. If sync has been interrupted for a while, the next successful connection may take longer as it transfers everything. Keep the app open and the ring near your phone for up to a few minutes.
App permissions and battery
Even if Bluetooth is on, your phone may block the app from scanning in the background:
- Add Pulsyn to your battery optimization exception list.
- Confirm the app has Bluetooth permission. On Android it also needs location permission for BLE scanning, which is a system requirement, not a data request.
These steps are covered in more detail in Troubleshooting sync issues.
After a phone change
If you recently switched phones:
- Sign in to the Pulsyn app on the new phone.
- Pair the ring again if it does not appear automatically.
- If you use cloud sync, your encrypted history will download. If not, the old phone keeps your data.
If nothing works
If the app still cannot sync after the steps above and the dedicated Bluetooth troubleshooting article, email support@pulsyn.tech. Include your phone model, OS version, and whether the ring appears in the app at all.
