Missing or delayed health data

Why some nights or metrics may not appear right away, and what to check first.

Last updated: July 13, 2026

Some metrics take a short time to appear. If you expected a sleep score, recovery value, or other metric and it is missing, check the common causes below before contacting support.

The ring was not worn enough

Sleep scores, Readiness, and overnight HRV need a full night of data. If you:

  • put the ring on after falling asleep
  • took it off during the night
  • did not wear it for at least a few hours

some metrics may be missing or marked incomplete.

The ring needs to sync

Data lives on the ring until it syncs to your phone. Open the app and wait for the sync indicator to finish. If the ring does not connect, see Ring not syncing or the BLE-specific Troubleshooting sync issues.

Processing takes time

Some metrics need a few minutes after sync to finish computing. Sleep staging and AI-generated insights can take a short processing window once the data is on your phone. Wait five to ten minutes and pull down to refresh.

The ring was low on battery

If the ring battery died overnight, it may not have collected a full dataset. Place it in the charging case, charge to a reasonable level, and wear it the next night.

You changed the ring's date or time

Setting the ring's date or time through the app erases un-streamed history packets that are still on the ring. If you recently adjusted the ring's clock, data collected before that adjustment may be gone. See Understanding the date/time sync warning.

The metric does not apply to your situation

Some metrics are skipped when signal quality is too low. A very short nap may not generate a full sleep score, and SpO2 may not report if motion was high.

If the data still does not appear

After checking the items above, try:

  1. force-closing the app and reopening it
  2. restarting your phone
  3. making sure the app is updated

If a metric is still missing after 24 hours of normal wear and sync, contact support@pulsyn.tech.
