Troubleshooting sync issues

What to do when Rune 1 stops syncing, the app cannot find the ring, or the Bluetooth connection feels unstable.

Last updated: July 13, 2026

If Rune 1 is not syncing or the app cannot find it, start with the basics. Most connectivity issues come from permissions, battery settings, or the ring being too low on charge.

Quick checklist

  1. Bluetooth is on. Check that Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and that airplane mode is off.
  2. The ring is charged. If the ring is below a certain charge level, it may not advertise itself. Place it in the magnetic case for 10 to 15 minutes and try again.
  3. The app has permission. The Pulsyn app needs Bluetooth permission on iOS and Android. On Android, it also needs location permission for BLE scanning. The app never uses your location. Android requires the permission for Bluetooth scanning.
  4. The app is allowed to run in the background. Some phones aggressively put apps to sleep. Add Pulsyn to your phone's battery optimization exception list, usually under Settings > Apps > Pulsyn > Battery.

If the ring still does not appear

  • Move a few meters away from other Bluetooth devices to reduce interference.
  • Toggle Bluetooth off and on, then wait 10 seconds.
  • Force-close the Pulsyn app and reopen it.
  • If you recently paired the ring with another phone, disable Bluetooth on that phone or sign out of the Pulsyn app there.

Reset the connection

If nothing else works:

  1. Put the ring in the case and leave the lid open.
  2. In the Pulsyn app, go to Settings > Ring and remove or forget the ring.
  3. Pair the ring again using the steps in Pairing your ring.

When to contact support

If the ring is charged, permissions are correct, Bluetooth is on, and it still will not pair or sync after a reset, email support@pulsyn.tech with your ring size and phone model.
