Charging and battery life
How long Rune 1 lasts, how the magnetic USB-C charging case works, and tips for keeping the battery healthy.
Last updated: July 13, 2026
Rune 1 is rated for up to 7 days of battery life with normal use. The exact duration depends on how often the ring streams data, how often you open the app, and whether features like Smart Alarm or higher-frequency monitoring are active.
The charging case
Rune 1 ships with a magnetic USB-C charging case. The case charges the ring when you place it inside. It also acts as a portable battery, extending total battery life to approximately 60 days between case charges with typical use.
To charge, place the ring in the case so the contacts line up. A small indicator shows the case is charging. A full charge from empty usually takes around 60 to 90 minutes.
Daily charging habits
Most users find it easiest to charge the ring while reading, working, or showering. The ring is water resistant, so water alone is not a reason to remove it. Short top-ups keep the ring near full charge without interrupting your routine.
If you plan to travel for a week or more, bring the case. You will not need to find an outlet, and the ring stays ready to use.
Battery health tips
- Avoid letting the ring sit at 0% for long periods.
- Store the ring in the case if you are not wearing it for several days.
- Use the included USB-C cable or a good-quality equivalent.
